“This workshop taught me several ways to enhance and improve my existing models... Terese did a great job of illustrating what’s going on behind the scenes of the model processes.”

Ryan Wendt, Lyon County

Description

This hands-on half-day workshop continues working with ModelBuilder to explore ways to make models more useful and more powerful.

A model is a sequence of geoprocessing tools that can use output from one tool as the input to another tool. This workshop moves behind model parameters to controlling flow within a model, using in-line variable substitution to deal with unknown values, and running one model from another. Python script tools are examined and utilized by the model to increase functionality.

Note: You will explore Python scripts in this class but not write any Python code yourself.

This workshop will be conducted in the afternoon. The Introduction to ModelBuilder workshop is offered in the morning of the same day.
